SEP: the first day

The first day of the SEP program was thrilling because I had been looking forward to the start of the program. I was also excited because it was my first time staying in dorms, so moving all my things in was a new experience. For the most part, everyone was really busy getting set up that morning.

I like to be very organized so it took me some time to fix my desk and bed to my style. I just find that I work better and with less stress when my books, documents, and utensils are all in order.

I am lucky to have a friend of mine from college as my roommate because I and he are like brothers from another mother. I also made a few new buddies who were staying in my suite. The SEP staff was there to help us move in and definitely facilitated our transition.

The best part of my first day of the SEP program was when all the scholars got together for food and sweet tea after the opening meeting.
